Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 18, 2026

Welcome to Moore Handy LLC ("Moore Handy," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, https://moorehandy.com/, and provide general information about our residential and commercial property services.

By using our website, you agree to these Terms. Specific services performed by Moore Handy may be subject to additional estimates, contracts, membership agreements, or written authorizations.

1. About Our Services

Moore Handy LLC is a Washington-based general contracting and handyman company serving residential and commercial customers in Kitsap County and surrounding communities.

Our services may include home repairs, property maintenance, installations, improvements, and other general contracting work.

We also offer Moore Maintenance, a recurring home maintenance membership program governed by its own membership agreement.

The availability, scope, and pricing of services may vary depending on the property, location, project requirements, and scheduling availability.

2. Estimates and Pricing

We strive to provide clear, accurate estimates based on the information available at the time of evaluation.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • Estimates are based on the described scope of work and known site conditions.
  • Estimates may be subject to change if additional work, unforeseen conditions, or changes in material requirements are identified.
  • Additional work outside the approved scope requires customer authorization before proceeding, except where otherwise permitted by an applicable agreement or law.
  • Material availability and supplier pricing may affect project costs.
  • Applicable taxes, disposal charges, permits, and other project-related expenses may be included or identified separately.

An estimate does not guarantee that all concealed or unforeseen conditions have been identified.

Final project pricing and payment terms are governed by the applicable approved estimate, contract, or service agreement.

3. Scheduling and Appointments

Appointments are scheduled based on technician availability, project requirements, and service location.

We make reasonable efforts to arrive within scheduled appointment windows. However, arrival times and project schedules may be affected by weather, traffic, material availability, preceding appointments, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Customers agree to provide reasonable access to the work area at the scheduled time.

If an appointment must be rescheduled or canceled, we request as much advance notice as reasonably possible.

Any applicable cancellation, rescheduling, or missed-appointment fees will be disclosed through the relevant estimate, booking confirmation, or service agreement.

4. Customer Responsibilities

To help us perform services safely and efficiently, customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the property and requested work.
  • Ensure reasonable access to the property and work areas.
  • Disclose known hazards, damage, or conditions that could affect the work.
  • Secure pets and keep children and other occupants away from active work areas.
  • Remove personal belongings or obstacles that could interfere with the work, unless otherwise arranged.
  • Provide access to necessary utilities when reasonably required.
  • Obtain any approvals required from property owners, landlords, or homeowners associations, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Customers must have the legal authority to authorize work at the property.

5. Changes in Scope and Unforeseen Conditions

During repairs, maintenance, or improvements, conditions may be discovered that were not visible or reasonably identifiable during the initial evaluation.

Examples include concealed water damage, deteriorated materials, improper previous installations, structural concerns, or other unexpected conditions.

If additional work is recommended, we will communicate the findings and obtain authorization as required before proceeding.

Moore Handy reserves the right to suspend or decline work when conditions present an unreasonable safety risk, require specialized services, or fall outside our authorized scope of work.

6. Existing Conditions and Incidental Damage

Repair and maintenance activities sometimes involve working with aging, deteriorated, improperly installed, or previously damaged materials.

Reasonable care will be taken when performing services. However, existing conditions may increase the likelihood of breakage, deterioration, or the discovery of additional repair needs.

Examples include brittle plumbing components, deteriorated caulking, damaged fasteners, aging fixtures, and concealed defects.

Where additional repairs are necessary because of preexisting conditions or deterioration, we will discuss the available options and any associated charges.

Nothing in these Terms limits Moore Handy's responsibility for damage caused by its negligence, defective workmanship, or other conduct for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Materials and Customer-Supplied Products

Unless otherwise specified, Moore Handy may source and provide materials necessary to complete approved work.

Materials are selected based on suitability, availability, project requirements, and customer preferences.

When customers supply their own materials, fixtures, or equipment:

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring the products are available when needed.
  • Installation may depend on product compatibility and condition.
  • Additional labor or materials may be required if products are incomplete, defective, or unsuitable.
  • Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the manufacturer's terms.

Moore Handy is responsible for the quality of its installation work but does not independently warrant the manufacturing quality or performance of customer-supplied products.

8. Payments and Invoicing

Payment terms will be communicated through the applicable estimate, invoice, contract, or membership agreement.

Depending on the project, payment arrangements may include deposits, progress payments, or payment upon completion.

Customers agree to pay authorized charges according to the agreed payment schedule.

Any applicable late fees, collection costs, or other payment-related charges must be authorized by the governing agreement and permitted by applicable law.

Disputed invoice charges should be communicated promptly so that we can review and address the concern.

9. Moore Maintenance Memberships

Moore Maintenance is a recurring property maintenance program offered by Moore Handy LLC.

Membership services, visit frequency, included maintenance tasks, pricing, discounts, renewal terms, and cancellation requirements are governed by the customer's applicable Moore Maintenance agreement.

Membership benefits may include scheduled preventative maintenance, property condition documentation, maintenance recommendations, and preferred pricing on eligible additional services.

Additional repairs, installations, or projects outside the included membership services may be billed separately.

If these website Terms conflict with an executed Moore Maintenance membership agreement, the membership agreement will govern the membership services.

10. Workmanship and Warranties

Moore Handy strives to perform services professionally and in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.

Any specific workmanship warranty, warranty duration, or remedy will be described in the applicable service agreement, estimate, or other written warranty documentation.

Manufacturer warranties for materials, fixtures, appliances, or equipment are provided by their respective manufacturers.

Warranty coverage may not extend to normal wear and tear, misuse, lack of maintenance, preexisting conditions, or damage unrelated to Moore Handy's work, subject to applicable law and the terms of the warranty.

Nothing in these Terms eliminates warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be waived.

11. Photographs and Service Documentation

Moore Handy may photograph or document work areas, property conditions, completed services, or maintenance findings for legitimate business purposes.

These purposes may include estimating, project planning, service documentation, quality control, customer communication, and recordkeeping.

Photographs that identify a customer's property or contain personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We will obtain any permissions required by law before using identifiable customer property photographs for public marketing purposes.
